How Does It Differ between Indoor and Outdoor Panels of RE Series?
The RE Series LED Panel differs between indoor and outdoor versions in several key aspects to suit the specific environmental and performance requirements of each application. Here’s how they differ:
Brightness Levels:
• Indoor Panels: Since indoor settings typically have controlled lighting, indoor RE Series panels feature moderate brightness levels (e.g., 800–1200 nits). This ensures clear visibility without being overly bright or harsh in indoor spaces like stages, exhibitions, or malls.
• Outdoor Panels: Outdoor panels are designed for high visibility even in direct sunlight or varying weather conditions, so they feature significantly higher brightness levels (e.g., 4500 nits or higher). This ensures the content remains clear and readable regardless of daylight.
Weatherproofing:
• Indoor Panels: Indoor RE Series panels do not need to be weather-resistant. They are typically built for a clean and controlled environment where dust and moisture are not major concerns.
• Outdoor Panels: The outdoor versions come with an IP65 rating, offering robust protection against water, dust, and environmental factors. This allows them to withstand rain, dust storms, and other weather conditions commonly encountered outdoors.
Pixel Pitch:
• Indoor Panels: Indoor LED panels typically feature smaller pixel pitches (e.g., 1.9mm, 2.6mm), which ensure higher resolution and crisp details, making them ideal for close-viewing environments like retail stores, conference rooms, or stage backgrounds.
• Outdoor Panels: Outdoor panels often have larger pixel pitches (e.g., 3.91mm, 4.81mm) to maintain excellent visibility even from longer distances, such as at large outdoor concerts or stadiums, where fine pixel density isn’t as critical.
Viewing Distance:
• Indoor Panels: Indoor setups generally have shorter viewing distances, requiring higher pixel density to display detailed and sharp images when viewed up close.
• Outdoor Panels: Outdoor installations are designed for long-distance viewing. A larger pixel pitch paired with high brightness ensures that the display is easily visible from far away, such as across a public square or highway.
Construction and Durability:
• Indoor Panels: The indoor panels of the RE Series focus on sleek, lightweight design, prioritizing portability and ease of setup. They are less rugged since they are not exposed to harsh conditions.
• Outdoor Panels: The outdoor models are built with more rugged materials to endure physical impacts, higher temperatures, and tougher handling. Their robust housing prevents external elements from affecting internal components, ensuring long-term durability.
Ventilation and Heat Dissipation:
• Indoor Panels: Since indoor environments generally have climate control, indoor panels don’t require advanced heat dissipation mechanisms. They often have passive cooling systems.
• Outdoor Panels: Outdoor panels are equipped with active cooling or more sophisticated heat dissipation designs. These panels must maintain optimal performance even in high-temperature outdoor environments, ensuring longevity and consistent output.
These differences in design, protection, and performance features between indoor and outdoor panels of the RE Series make them well-suited for their respective applications, allowing flexibility for various event types, whether indoors or outdoors.
